Managing Partner

Jeffrey Leerink

Jeffrey A. Leerink is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Leerink Partners, the largest independent investment bank dedicated exclusively to healthcare. In 2019, Mr. Leerink led the sale of Leerink Partners to Silicon Valley Bank. He served as CEO of SVB Securities until 2023, when he then spearheaded a successful management buyout, restoring Leerink Partners’ independence. In addition to his work at Leerink Partners, Mr. Leerink co-founded Humedica, Inc. in 2008, a clinical intelligence company acquired by Optum, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, in 2013. He remains committed to advancing healthcare and education through both his professional work and philanthropic endeavors. His commitment to the healthcare industry extends to numerous advisory roles and board memberships. Mr. Leerink is the Vice Chairman of the Harvard Medical School Board of Fellows, and he also serves on the Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts.

Mr. Leerink holds a B.A. in Economics from Union College.

Christopher Flagg

Chris Flagg joined Bulgroup Properties in 1990 and co-founded its affiliate, North River Company. Chris is a Managing Partner of North River Leerink. With over 30 years of real estate investment, development, and management experience, Mr. Flagg plays a leading role in the strategic and operational direction of North River Leerink. Mr. Flagg also serves as President for North River Company, where he oversees day-to-day management of all aspects of the company, which includes managing teams in New York, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Pennsylvania, Colorado and California, as well as capital raising.

Mr. Flagg holds a B.A. degree from Hamilton College.

Christopher Pachios

Chris Pachios joined Bulgroup Properties in 2003 and co-founded its affiliate, North River Company. Chris Pachios is a Managing Partner of North River Leerink. Mr. Pachios brings over 25 years of experience in acquisitions, asset management, capital raising, and development. Mr. Pachios also serves as Vice President for North River Company, where he oversees day-to-day management of all aspects of the company. Prior to joining North River Company, Mr. Pachios worked as a commercial real estate broker in Boston and New York.

Mr. Pachios holds a B.A. degree from Bowdoin College.

Managing Director

Douglas Gensler

Doug Gensler is head of development for North River Leerink. Mr. Gensler brings over 30 years of design practice experience to the company, and previously served as a Partner and Managing Director for a large global design firm. Mr. Gensler provides hands-on leadership and strategic direction to design-related aspects across the portfolio. Mr. Gensler’s focus is on driving solutions that support the company’s investments to create value by delivering innovative, sustainable and high-performing places and spaces.

Mr. Gensler holds a B.A. from Cornell University with BArch and is an executive member of Cornell University’s College of Architecture, Art & Planning Advisory Council.

Managing Director

John Glynn

John Glynn is head of asset management for North River Leerink. Mr. Glynn’s responsibilities include identifying and evaluating investment opportunities and overseeing the business plan execution for the respective portfolio properties.  In addition to his asset management role, Mr. Glynn also serves as head of investor relations for North River Leerink.  Prior to joining the company, Mr. Glynn spent 15 years working in Equity Capital Markets in Boston for JP Morgan, UBS, and Deutsche Bank.

Mr. Glynn holds a B.A. from Bowdoin College and a M.B.A. from Babson College.
